![]() ![]() ![]() If you give someone food in a Pyrex that’s covered in aluminum foil or cling wrap, but not the actual lid that it comes with? Then maybe, maybe you’d get that container back. So surely, Amber is going to get her Pyrex container back without any problems.” Last month, comedian and podcaster Amber Wallin expressed her frustration about her husband, Ben, making a crucial mistake, and using a Pyrex container for giving food to a friend of theirs instead of using a Tupperware container.Ī post shared by Amber Wallin you’re reading this, and you’re probably saying: “Okay, but…what’s the big deal? They’re friends. Because you will never get that sh-t back. There’s another important rule that was recently brought to the attention of everyone on social media: When you’re giving homemade food to family and friends for them to take back home, you give it to them in your plastic Tupperware. (Bonus rule: If someone’s bathroom isn’t clean, then their kitchen is probably just as bad, and you should proceed with caution when it comes to their food.) You absolutely cannot and should not eat just anybody’s food at the potluck, especially if they have pets, and those pets are allowed to do whatever they want. Don’t put any raisins in the potato salad. Launching this month. When it comes to making food for others, and eating food that others have made at home, there are certain rules that most Black folk live by, no matter what: Don’t experiment with the macaroni and cheese around Thanksgiving. MAC Pro Stores, Free Standing Stores Liverpool and Spitalfields, Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols London & Edinburgh, Fenwick Brent Cross and John Lewis Southampton. The question I get asked the most about MAC collections is where they’re available, so I’m going to copy straight from the info I have here: MAC Philip TreacyĮither of these shades make a great eye base for smoky eyes but I could easily wear Genuine Treasure on its own.Īs well as the above, included in the collection is False Lashes Extreme Black mascara and a Face Brush (both existing). Chrome Angel is a platinum silver that reflects white on the eyelids, while Genuine Treasure is an antique gold – very wearable. My favourite pieces from the MAC Philip Treacy collection are the Pro Longwear Paint Pots (£15.50) in Chrome Angel and Genuine Treasure (limited). Swatched above are No Faux Pas (pink) and Cardinal – the usual high pigment formula and super-bright on the lip! There are three limited edition lipsticks (£15.50) – No Faux Pas (matte), Cardinal (satin) and Hollywood Cerise (satin). There are three Fluidlines (£15.50) – Blacktrack (existing), Royal Wink (as shown) and Blue Peep, a flat teal shade, both limited. Both have a silver over-spray on the pattern. The stand out piece from the range is the High-Light Powder (£23) in either Nude Pink or Blush Pink – Nude (shown) has a champagne base, while Blush has a light pink base. It’s a bit too safe for its inspiration I think – for a collaboration with a man who pushed headwear to boundaries not thought possible, I think we needed some pazazz! I also think that maybe it would have been nice to bring back Blow lipstick – Isabella Blow was one of Philip Treacy’s first supporters and such an important part of his path to success so it’s a shame she isn’t represented at all. It’s interesting really, because this is one collection that I feel has been pared too far back when in fact, Philip Treacy’s hats are challenging and flamboyant and it would have been more exciting to introduce a new formula or something we really haven’t seen before from MAC. The collection is inspired by three of Treacy’s most famous hats one metallic (and art-deco in style which you will see reflected in the High-Light Powder), one colour driven (hence the super-bright lipsticks) and a Gothic, lace laden headpiece. The MAC Philip Treacy collection is a tiny one by MAC standards with 12 products in total.
